About California Says NO MORE
California says NO MORE is a California-specific campaign to raise public awareness and engage bystanders in the movement to end domestic violence and sexual assault. California Says NO MORE is supported by the California Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CALCASA) and the national NO MORE campaign. CALCASA and local organizations are using NO MORE’s signature blue symbol to increase visibility and funding to address these critical issues.
The purpose of California Says NO MORE is to raise awareness and support for domestic violence and sexual assault response and prevention. Sexual and intimate partner violence touch the lives of millions and we wish to shed light on the need to change the culture that allows this violence to persist. Today’s climate requires us to examine the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault together, in order to demonstrate collaboration, increase the power and impact of service providers, and elevate the needs of survivors.
“Our movement is inextricably linked to other struggles for social justice. Our success depends on the success of all movements for justice and dignity. Only by developing cross-movement partnerships can we become a powerful force in the broader fight for social justice and only then can we build the critical mass within our own movement needed to achieve our goal.”
